Meet Legend, a spirited rescue dog who has found his forever home at Laurel Nobilis. He spends his days greeting guests, hunting (for snacks), and pretending that he is small enough to be a lap dog.

Legend's playfulness brings joy to everyone he meets, while his loyalty and dedication make him an invaluable member of the team. Every day, he proves that a second chance can lead to a life filled with purpose and adventure.

Indigo & Ian

No farm would be complete without a couple of barn cats! These sweet brothers hang out in their cozy space watching people come and go, napping on the windowsill, and chasing the occasional fly that sneaks in.

After sundown, this duo starts their overnight shift keeping the barn rodent-free and tidy by using their natural instincts to defend their home.

Ducks & Geese

Laurel Nobilis is home to a number of waterfowl including:

  • 32 Muscovy ducks

  • 2 Cayuga ducks

  • 2 Khaki Campbell Mallard mix ducks

  • 5 Pilgrim geese

These birds have plenty of room to forage for plants, seeds, and all manner of insects and worms. The Muscovy ducks are part of our natural pest control, as they eat flies, mosquito larvae and ticks! All birds are fed fresh greens and supplemental nutrients each day.

The geese serve as sentries to warn the flock of predators. They have excellent eyesight and will sound the alarm if a fox, raccoon, or other suspicious animal is spotted.

In the evenings, the birds are led into their spacious coop for protection from predators and inclement weather.

When available, Duck and Goose eggs can be purchased in the barn and are delicious! They are richer, creamier, and larger than chicken eggs and can be prepared in the same manner.

Honeybees

We support the biodiversity of our farm through beekeeping! Our apiaries are well-cared for and honey is harvested in the Spring and Autumn. Jars of this fresh, local honey can be purchased in the barn throughout the year (while supplies last).
